If you would like to leave your comments about our Dad, Cecil Ruckart, please leave your comments in this public guest book so we can share your thoughts with other visitors. Dad, you are the greatest man I have ever known! My days seem empty without you here. I miss you so very much, but I know you are with Mom in Heaven!!! Love John Papa was a truly wonderful human being, an angel on earth. It will be very hard to emulate him, but I will try my best. When I see his face in my mind I see his smile and kind eyes. I hear his chuckle. I see him with children on his lap. I remember people leaning forward to hear his stories. He always had a kind word for everyone. He offered advice that could be weighed with the best counselors. I loved him, I love him still. His essence will remain with me always as does all positive things in ones life. I am a better person for having known him. Until we meet again Papa...bye for now. Cecil, You brought so much joy and love to all who knew you. Becky & I are privileged to have known you on this earth and ask that you pray for us now that you are with the Father. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let Your perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in Your eternal and loving peace. Amen With all our love and gratitide. Chris & Becky Cecere Thank you for sharing this with all of us. Joe and I did not have a chance to speak with you at the funeral but wanted to let you know how very special we felt in church when Cecil came to greet us. It made the difference. We did not get to tell him "Goodbye" but he knew he was in our hearts. He always wanted someone to let us know why he was not in church. He didn't want us to worry. Yes, you truly have a fine dad and he will be with you always. God knows best. When a man asks God for the best things in life he sometimes is surprised by what is received. I asked a long time ago for Wisdom, Family and Friends - I have been blessed by my family and Friends like Cecil. We worshiped together, prayed with me and counciled me when I needed his Wisdom. God Bless you Cecil and Thank You for being a good friend to us and for being a man with a loving heart. From an ol' salt "Fair Winds and Following Seas" dear friend. Greg & Carlene Burge The first time my family met Cecil was in the cry room. You see my two children were small and noisy. He was cheerful and warm, and he made us feel welcomed at Espiritu Santo. We always went to the 8:30 Mass and both my children worked as ushers when they were young. That was fourteen years ago. Cecil was a friend, and his warm smile and his ties for the differnt occasions will be greatly missed. The Constantines What a wonderful tribute to a great human being. In the short time I have had the pleasure of knowing Cecil, I ALWAYS found him to be a caring and sincere individual, dedicated to his family, his church and the K of C. I know I will miss him...God Bless You Cecil ! Jerry Pappa What a very kind hearted man Cecil was. He always had a smile and kind words for others. I am blessed for having known him. GOD BLESS YOU!!! Teresa D. I can still remember taking your Wedding pictures when you and my dear Sister got married. Cecil I can only hope when God takes me I can leave the way you did,I will miss you. Brother Jim Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful tribute with all of us, who somehow can't get enough of this man. We will cherish the memories full of his love, life & kindness. In a sense he touched all of us, ours was the perfect example he showed of how someone can make a difference. We will truly miss him, but will forever love him. May God grant him peace. With our deepest sympathy, Manuel & Felicidad Cruz So very sorry we were away over Christmas & New Years. We will all certainly miss your Dad. Our Love and Prayers for all of you Carl & Liz I received a email about Cecil. I don't know him, but by watching the slideshow, he must of been a great father and grandfather. God has a place for special people like him and I would like to think that whatever task God has for him, he is carrying that great smile of love...Harry...Brickman8@msn.com I Know Janet , from doing Her nails and from our Boys( Jeff & Justin) Playing Falcon Football together. My Husband, Jason, new Cecil, from when Jason was Pres. of Falcon Football , Years ago. He said," I really Liked Cecil, He was a Good man!" I hardly new Cecil myself, But Janet always talked so Highly of Him, and there was so much Love between Family, and Faith in our Lord. It's Nice to Know He is in a Better Place. Our Prayers are with you and Family, I know Cecil will be Missed...............Linda Oxendine(Jason) Last May Maureen and I went to the rectory to set our wedding date for April 23. We requested to have the parish center for our reception, only to find out that the 4th degree had just obtained it for a function. I had mentioned it to Cecil, without saying a word to him, he went ahead and made the change on his own to have the function a week earlier. After 2 weeks we were notified by the rectory that Cecil had changed the date for the KofC function, and the room would be available for our reception. My bride to be, and I were so elated for what Cecil had done for us. We have talked it over and decided to dedicate our reception to Cecil Ruckart, the man who saved our wedding day. I have known Cecil since I move to Florida in 1970, and has touched my life in so many ways. ---- Danny O'Connell & Maureen Schiefen Cecil will always be in my heart. He is one the the kindest considerate and fun loving man that I know. 8:30 Mass will forever have a void and I know I will be looking for him to walk down the aisle for years to come. We all have been truly blessed to know Cecil a saint among us. May all of you take solace in knowing that he is with your mom and enjoying all the promises that Jesus has made to us. I can't think of a more deserving man. Love and God bless, Joanne I thank God for having known Cecil. He is a man who was so very proud of his family and always had good things to say about everyone. I know that all who knew him will greatly miss him and his chuckles and his warm and loving smile. We had such fun times and good laughs together, one being that our names, being so similar, caused us to have so much humor when I'd always add an "e" at the end of his name. Not only did I do this, but my daughter, Kathleen" also did this. Oh, How I will miss this loving man!!!!! His family and friends will miss him forever. He never had an enemy and no one was a stranger. May God bless him and keep him in his care. May he rest in peace and enjoy being with his beloved Rose. Cecile Sweeney
I can't say much more than the others have already said about Cecil. During his funeral Fr Bob had placed a crucifix and other symbols on his casket, noting that these were Catholic symbols. On Sunday 1/2/05 as we drove to the 10:15 Mass, Carole noticed an American Bald Eagle sitting on the Crucifix on top of the church, When we got into the parking lot we were able to get a better view of it. I felt that this was an another symbol for Cecil. The Eagle for his service to this country, and his community, and the crucifix which he always stood for. John and Carole Malone To the family of Cecil Ruckart: I first met Cecil when I just moved here to Florida. I mentioned to him I had something to donate to the Council and he came over right away and accepted it on befalf of the Council. Ever since then we became friends. Seeing me in church , he came right over to speak to me. He and I had several phone chats since I have not attended meetings. He was an outstanding Knight who gave so much to the Council. He was a Prime candidate for Heaven as he displayed his kindness and his love for His Saviour. God had to say ,"Come on Cecil you've done your share on this earth for me!" You have done a beautiful job on this. Your dad would be so proud, as he always was of his family. You have such precious memories--cherish them--he will always be alive in your heart. You will see him and be reminded of him in so many ways--each time someone does a good deed, volunteers, holds a baby, shows love, etc., you will think of your "angel" in heaven. God Bless you all. Aida Calderoni Cecil, you have been a guiding light for all of us at Espiritu Santo and we keep wanting to call you for guidance and remember we need to reach you on a different level. As we remember you always smiling and holding our a helping hand, please smile down on us now and continue to nudge us in the right direction. We will be here listening and thinking of what you would do. Dave and Barb Seymour
